Today a man approaches to the Gateway of your humble Temple of Spiritual Fitness. He knocks on the door, bows his head, his heart filled with anticipation that a Teacher on the other side will open the door and greet him. A Teacher opens the door; the man asks in a humble, gentle and dignified voice, �I wish to learn the Ways of Spiritual Fitness�. The Man is middle aged, perhaps not as strong, agile or flexible as students who have gone before him. The Teacher asks, why do you seek knowledge of Spiritual Fitness? The Man replies with a simple answer, �I leave my ego and a lifetime of bad habits behind the door of your Temple. I seek knowledge so that I can repair my body, learn new ways, grow as a person and live my remaining years in peace and harmony with others and the earth that I walk upon�. The Man has only one humble request from his Teacher; that he be treated with compassion, respect and be �filled with patience�.
